Polished Selenite Sphere

This beautifully polished Selenite sphere, also known as Satin Spar, has been around for 266 million years (not the sphere). Selenite is one of the most ancient minerals in existence because it solidified from silicon dioxide gas in the spaces between larger crystals at the bottom of shallow seawater during Earth's formative era.
