This striking calcite specimen is a true beauty! Under normal light conditions, it appears as solid gray columns of calcite. But when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light, it transforms into a fiery orange hue. This phenomenon is caused by calcite's property of fluorescence, which refers to its ability to absorb UV light and then emit visible light of a different color.

We carry a diverse collection of crystals and minerals from around the world. There may be a presence of certain imperfections intrinsic to where they're from. Any apparent chips or cracks shouldn't be misconstrued as damage (unless explicitly stated otherwise in the description or accompanying images). They are, instead, charming characteristics resulting from the natural formation process.

It's important to choose the item that calls to you, which is why we take images/videos of the exact item you will receive; however, please note that differences in viewing devices mean that the item you receive may be slightly different in color from the picture. We'll combine shipping on multiple orders and refund any shipping fees over $1 not used.
